Professor Russell received a B.A. in mathematics and physics from Yale University in 1965, an M.S. in computer science from Stanford University in 1967, and a Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University in 1972. In 1975 he joined the faculty of the University of New Hampshire, where he is now an Associate Professor of Computer Science. Since 2000 he has been associated with the UNH InterOperability Lab. He is currently working in the following areas at IOL:
the OpenFabrics Alliance, as principal developer of their Training Course on RDMA programming,
iWARP, the family of protocols for remote direct memory access over TCP/IP,
iSCSI, the Internet Small Computer Systems Interconnect

Introdution to RDMA Programming is a self-contained introductory course module that covers some of the material in the OpenFabrics Alliance Training Course on RDMA programming.
