Internet Teaching Laboratory

Funding Sources
UNH-ITL would like to acknowledge the support it received from the following sources:

Cooperative Association for Internet Data Analysis (CAIDA) equipment grant to develop an Internet Teaching Laboratory consisting of four CISCO 7000 routers (the proposal submitted jointly with Dr. Robert D. Russell, UNH).
Further funding for the development of the laboratory was provided by a grant from the UNH Undesignated Gifts Competition (the proposal submitted jointly with Dr. Robert D. Russell, UNH).
The UNH InterOperability Laboratory donated FDDI/Ethernet bridges.
Two 6-port Ethernet interface boards for the routers were obtained through equipment swap with Ecora Software, Inc.
Donation of two Cisco Catalyst 3000 Ethernet switches was generously arranged by Prof. Shawn Ostermann from the Ohio University
SmartBits traffic generator/analyzer and twenty ML-7710 interface cards were donated by Spirent Communications.

The ITL, which is used for hands-on experiments, networking courses and student projects, was built in 2000 using an equipment grant from the Cooperative Association for Internet Data Analysis, an organization that provides tools and analyses promoting the engineering and maintenance of a robust, sociable global Internet Infrastructure.
