Make sure that your read and follow all the instructions here. It will helps us to speed up the grading process. Thank you!
These are generic instructions, make sure that you check and follow specific instructions for the particular assignments. Not all assignments have both paper and coding parts.
Submit the paper as a single PDF file attachment to an email sent to cs725@cs.unh.edu with the subject line "XXx25 Assignment n", where XXx is the program name and the first digit of the course you are registered for (e.g., CS725), n is the assignment number if you are registered for both grad and undergrad versions, use the undergrad course number. Do not include the quotes. The email address is cs725@cs.unh.edu regardless of the course you are registered for.
All modern word processing applications are capable of producing PDF documents. Just look for Save As or Export options. Even MS Word allows you to save a document as a PDF file (File - Save As - Format). LaTeX is the recommended but not required tool for document preparation.
Make sure that your name is on the first page of the document. There is no need to include your student ID number.
Name the attached file using your UNH ID (the username that you use to login to Blackboard or UNH email) followed by "-an.pdf", where n is the assignment number (e.g., xyz12-a3.pdf).
The font size of the body of the paper should be between 10 and 12 points, the maximum line spacing is 1.5. Your grade is not proportional to the number of pages you submit. Clear and concise writing is preferred.
Make sure that the file can opened using a standard PDF viewer. If you use a non-US version of application to generate PDF, make sure that the resulting document is formatted for letter-sized paper (11x8.5 in). Other sizes, such as A4, cause problems during printing. You can check a document paper size in Acrobat Reader by going to File and then Properties.
If you have questions regarding the assignments, do not include them in the submission email. Send a separate message. Homework submissions get automatically filed and I may not look at them right away.
Create an archive (.tgz, .tar, .zip) of all files required to build the executables (do not submit compiled/generated files (this includes .class, .pyc, etc. files). Name the archive according to the same scheme as for the written part except for replacing a with p (e.g., if your document for assignment 3 is named xyz12-a3.pdf, the name the code archive is xyz12-p3.tgz). Send the file as a second attachment to the email.
