Dates/Time: Tuesday, May 26 - Thursday, June 18, 2009 (note that UNH Summer Session catalog incorrectly lists the class as starting on Memorial Day, May 25), the course will meet MTWTh 6:10-9:00 pm in Kingsbury Hall, Rm. TBD. There will be a take-home exam, due Monday, June 22, so students should not make plans for the days that immediately follow the last class. Electronic submission of the final exam is possible.

Prerequisite: CS620 Operating System Fundamentals or equivalent experience
Teaching method: Lectures, homework projects, programming assignments, hands-on labs.
Assignments: Problems from the textbook and programming projects. Assignments are due at the beginning of a class. There will be 20% penalty for late submission (up to a week, parts of a week count as a full week). Electronic submissions in proprietary file formats, such as MS Word, will not be accepted. Exams: In-class, open-book, one-hour weekly exams (Mondays, June 1, 8, and 15). Take-home final assigned June 16, due Monday, June 22 at 4:30 pm.
Grading: 40% assignments, 30% weekly exams, 30% final exam. Grading scale: 95% and above: A, 90% and above: A-, 87% and above: B+, 83% and above: B, 80% and above: B-, 77% and above: C+, 73% and above: C, 70% and above: C-, etc. Students with a documented disability must register with the UNH Disability Services.
