RESPONSBILITIES:

• Applies defined software testing practices and procedures to drive quality and testability of products and services.
• Exercises judgment in application of methods and procedures to evaluate quality products and services.
• Builds productive internal and external relationships that are essential to delivering quality products and services.
• Works independently, with general instructions on assignments.
• Develops software testing requirements, test cases, and test plans
• Reports software defects in detail with information gathered from customers, tech support or other internal resources.
• Actively seeks assistance as needed but demonstrates learning and growing independence
• Actively seeks guidance for prioritization and review of deliverables
• Analyzes offerings against functional and non-functional requirements
• Creates clearly documented plans, designs and results
• Contributes to the creation of reasonably and increasingly accurate work estimates
• Learns new emerging skills functional and technical skills that are relevant to Taxware

Experience:

• No prior experience necessary for this Entry-Level Position

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Physics majors, graduation from Technical School, or equivalent work experience required.

Technical Skills:

• Developing skills in or exposure to the following:
• Software testing requirements, test cases, and test plans
• Functional/non-functional testing
• Black/white box testing
• Writing clear and concise defect reports
• Creating clearly documented plans, designs and results
• Strong curiosity and desire for testing software and documentation in the best interest of Customer needs and the Customer experience
• Exposure to the following:
• Performance testing (load, stress, etc. using LoadRunner or similar)
• Automation (QTP or similar, Perl scripting)
• Databases and SQL
• Integrations, APIs, ERP financial modules
• Multi-tiered, Enterprise level software
• QA lab/hardware
• Product installation processes
• Technical software/hardware topology concepts and understanding
• End to end concepts
